Fashion Trends of Winter 2013/14

Tuesday, January 7, 2014

Hello my beautiful viewers! Today has been freezing, so I was at home all day in my bed eating chocolates and writing this post for you. I have done quite a few research and have been observing this years winter fashion trends for awhile now. Since it is winter, I wanted to share with all of you the list of fashion trends for winter 2013 and 2014, but let me be honest with all you you. This may not be entirely accurate because this is based off my observations. I hope you will still find this helpful and also enjoy reading it while the weather is so cold.

1. Classic Patterns
After all those over the top designs, many fashion designers decided to go back to the basics. Who doesn't want a little simplicity in their life anyways? I am a huge fan of classic patterns because they match the season so well and they are not too abstract. All you need to do is add in a few statement pieces of your own and your outfit will look beautiful.

2. Over the Knee Boots
Plenty of designers showed over the knee boots on many different fashion shows. These shoes are the perfect item to wear on a winter day when you have to be outdoors for a long period of time. It really adds a nice effect to your outfit especially if your wearing trench coats or dresses.

3. Turtlenecks
These are a must for this years fashion trends. Although, I've known a lot of people who dislike turtlenecks, I think the are great for this winter season. They keep you warm, without the need to add on too many extra layers. Wearing it with a cotton style coat would make it look even better.

4. Statement Outerwear
Outerwear is by far the most popular. It comes in many different sizes, shape, and color. Buying these are almost the same as buying shoes, there are many different designs and types that you don't know which to choose. The best part of outerwear is that you can wear it more that once a week! No need to complicate yourself with what to wear on a cold morning.

5. Folk inspired pieces
I love indie type clothing or folk type clothing. The patterns are unique and attractive and it has a lot of emphasis on the colors. I love indulging myself with colorful clothing and these pieces just remind me of traditional clothing with an urban twist to them. There are many ways you can try styling these pieces.

Well, that is all I have for you today. I will post more fashion trends soon, also if you have any more to add to the list, please feel free to comment below and tell me what your favorite fashion piece is. I would love to hear all your thoughts. If you have any questions or comments, please comment below. Thank you all for reading and I really hope you enjoyed today's post. I'd love to hear more post suggestions, so feel free to tell me some good ideas. I hope you all have a wonderful warm day!
