The Connection Between Green Tea and Beauty

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Hello everyone! Today has been a pretty stressful day for me, so I decided to ease my mind with a cup of tea and a new blog post. So, lately I've been reading about tea and it's benefits(I know, what do I do with my life right?). I was surprised at how much benefits it has, and many of them are associated with your health and beauty. As you can tell, today's blog post I am going to talk about the beauty benefits of drinking green tea. I hope you all find this helpful. Enjoy reading!

1. Preventing Bad Breath

No one wants to be near someone who has bad breath, and lucky for you, if you have a pack of green tea at home, you can help prevent it. Green tea is also great for on the go, so if you are running late, just grab some tea and drink on your way to work.

2. Healthy Hair
If you are someone who worries about damaged hair, green tea is also known for preventing hair loss. Green tea helps by making sure the amount of testosterone in the blood are balanced. It also helps with preventing common hair problems such as dandruff. Green tea contains vitamin C and E which help soften hair and stimulate your hair growth.

3. Reduce Stress
I'm sure we have all been stressed at one point, and it was not attractive at all. Good thing, green tea also helps to reduce your stress and anxiety. Green tea contains a compound known as theanine which is an amino acid that help reduce stress. Unlike coffee, green tea has a lower percentage of caffeine which is good for people who are suffering from stress related problems.

4. Sun Screen
Another good thing about green tea is you can drink it during the summer when your skin is more exposed to the sun. Green tea can also act as a natural sun screen. It helps by preventing the free radicals from settling between your skin cells. These free radicals can weaken the healthy protection system of your skin.

5. Weight Loss
I probably should have added this onto my simple guide to staying fit post, but anyways, green tea is also a great thing to drink if you are planning on staying fit. Green tea helps reduce cholesterol levels and it increases your energy by inhibiting the digestion of fat in your intestines. Consider adding green tea to your diet the next time you work out.

That is all I have in store for you guys today, but if you have anymore you'd like to add onto the list, please comment below. I would love to hear more benefits from drinking green tea. I am also thinking of making a list of beauty benefits from drinking oolong tea, so if you guys would like me to write a blog post about oolong tea, please tell me. I hope you all have a wonderful day! See you next time!
