Portland Trip 2017

Hello!
A memoire of my time in Portland. WIsh I could go back and relive some of the moments I had there. However, Summer has come to an end and the school year is starting for many of us. I have to say that Summer has been fun. As you all can tell from the title of this post, I went to Portland, Oregon with some of my cousins. We all enjoyed it very much, especially the coffee and food. We also took a small roadtrip up to Seatlle which I didn't get to document. Although Portland was amazing, the few days we went were the hottest, so we didn't get to walk around as much as we'd like to because of the heat. Most of the ohotos that I was in, I was probably sweating, especially the photos on the bottom. I don't know why I decided to wear a long sleeved button up to walk around Portland when I knew it was going to hot. It was not good, but nonetheless, I managed to get some cute photos. On that day, we went to Prince Coffee. Inside was really cute and minmal. Wish I got a photo of the interior. I guess one of the good things about the heat wave was that no one was out, so I got the whole street to myself most of the time.
The main thing about Portland is definitely the food. I enjoyed all the places we stopped at for food and left with no regrets. The photo above was right after we grabbed coffee from Prince's. The place is called "Cutured Caveman". I got the mushroom soup there which was amazing. It was super creamy, but maybe a little too salty for my taste. If you are looking for a quick bite for brunch, I would recommend this place. The other places we went to are Il Terrazo which is a cute italian restaurant near the lake, so the view was amazing. We went during sunset which made everything better. We went there as a celebration for my sousins birthday. Although the menu is pretty limited, you will not regret ordering the pasta there. We made reservations before arriving, so we didn't have to wait, I'm not sure if the waiting time is long if you were not to make a reservation. Overall, I really enjoyed eating there. Next stop is Milk Tea! If you knowme, I love milk tea. I have to grab some wherever I go traveling. We went to Tea Bar which I actually discovered through Instagram. And I had to go cause their jars were too cute and everything was so aesthetically pleasing. I really liked that everything was so minimal and simple. I ordered the matcha honey which was amazing. It's a little bitter, but if you're okay with that, then I would totally recommend it. There is a large selection of tea there, and it took me awhile to choose one. If you're all about quality milk tea and aesthetics, I would say give this place a try. Haha, it was a ton of fun being a foodie while walking around Portland. I should definitely start a foodie account. :)
All jokes aside, if you guyhave been to Portland, please give me some other food sugesstions.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention the best one. We went to Nong's and tried their Khao Man Gai which was absolutely divine, and I would not have it anywhere else. This has been a life changer. I've literally been craving it ever since I got back. If you guys ever go to Portland. Nong's is a must try! You will not regret.
The next big part of this trip was hiking Multonomah Falls. The photo below was before the long hike in 100 degree weather. The fall was definitely beautiful and something that I wanted to see for awhile now. I always saw them on instagram which made me want to see it for myself. Also managed to take a pretty good photo of the falls. Now the hike was definitely not the worst I've done, but it was a lot of up hill and the heat was not helping. I think we only made it halfway before turning and going back down. However, we did make it somewhat to the top of the waterfall and rested for awhile. I was wearing long tight running pants and a sports bra which was also pretty tight, so it restricted air flow through my body which was pretty bad. And I was just dying from the heat, but I pushed through which I can say I am proud of. The hike up was 45 mins and another 45 mins down. I had a lot of fun hiking though and wished I could have done it in less intense weather. Nonetheless, I was able to get some good shots.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading about my adventures in Portland! It was an amazing experience and glad that I was able to go this Summer. Now that school has begun, I have been getting back to y normal school routine. I will be publishing a back to school outfit post and school tips tomorrow. Look forward to that. If you guys have other suggesstions or questions, please leave them in the comments. I would also love to know how your Summer went. :)
See you in the next post!
