Matcha Dalgona

Monday, April 27, 2020

Hope you all are doing well! The weather has been getting warmer and it's honestly starting to feel a bit like summer here in the Bay Area. I've been trying to keep track of the days during this quarantine and trying to get my schedule back on track. My sleep schedule has been messed up, I fall asleep at 3 and wake up at 2pm these days. Let me know what your sleep schedule is like. To help me stay more productive, I have set deadlines for myself for my blog and I have started working out. Hopefully, I can finally achieve that summer body I've always been dreaming about. I've been following along with Chloe Ting's 2 week shred challenge. If you guys don't know her, she is a fitness youtuber and I absolutely love her workout videos as they're easy to follow and makes me feels like I have my own personal trainer. I definitely recommend her channel if you are looking for a good workout routine. Anyways, with the warmer weather, I have been craving cold beverages to quench my thirst, so I decided to try out a new drink recipe. In my previous post, I made coffee dalgona which was absolutely delicious, so I had to try it with matcha this time since I love matcha. The results turned out pretty nice, and the taste was exceptional, but I honestly prefer the coffee dalgona over the matcha. I do recommend trying it though if you like matcha. It's a perfect drink for warmer days. The process of making it was similar to the coffee dalgona, it's very quick and easy to make. Perfect for anyone who is on the go or doesn't like coffee as much. I will list the ingredients and procedures on how to make matcha dalgona below. :)

Matcha powder - 1 tsp
Milk of choice - 1/2 cup
Egg whites - 1 egg
Sugar - 1 tbsp

1. Seperate the egg whites and put them into a metal bowl.
2. Use an electric mixer and whisk the egg whites until you get soft peaks. Should take about 1-2 minutes.
3. Add the sugar to the egg whites slowly. Mix again until you get stiff peaks.
4. Sift the matcha powder into the egg white mixture and mix again until the egg whites turn green.
5. Pour the milk into a cup, add the dalgona mixture on top and enjoy!
